The Spring Loaded Clip will create constant tension and compensate for expansion and contraction of the rodent barrier during extreme temperature changes, allowing a tight seal to be maintained.

What are Rodent Intrusion Barriers made of?
Our barriers are made from durable, flexible Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) plastic, the same material chosen for its ability to flex during installation without cracking, and to withstand extreme temperature swings in outdoor environments. Our product will remain flexible, and will not crack in cold temps.
Do I need silicone or adhesive to install them?
No. Our patented spring clip technology creates a tight seal on its own, no silicone, adhesives, or special tools required. The spring clip maintains constant tension even as the barrier expands and contracts with temperature changes.
What sizes are available?
We manufacture barriers for a wide range of round, oval, square, and specialty bases, including standard DOT sizes from 9.25" square up to 32" diameter high mast towers. If you don't see your size listed, we can design and manufacture any size or shape needed. Design of a new model is normally at "no charge". Contact us at info@rodentbarriers.com or 715-377-2133.
Are Rodent Barriers approved for DOT use?
Yes. Our barriers are approved in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, and approval is pending in several other states. Contact us for the current list of approvals or to ask about approval in your state's DOT.
How are they sold: individually or in packs?
The Rodent Barriers are sold in packs of 2, 4 and 6, depending on the model.
Can these be installed on existing bases, or only new installations?
Both. The flexible LDPE plastic and connecting strip design makes the toolless installation straightforward on new and existing bases alike.
Where are Rodent Barriers manufactured?
All products are made in the USA at our facility in Hudson, WI. Our design is fully patented in the United States.
What makes this better than metal mesh?
Metal mesh is sharp, difficult to handle, and can shift over time. Several states like Minnesota, have outlawed metal mesh for use as a rodent barrier. Our LDPE barriers are safe to handle, easier and faster to install, and the spring clip maintains a consistent seal, eliminating the gaps that metal mesh solutions often leave behind.
